About Fast File Convert
Fast File Convert is a fast, safe and completely free online file conversion tool. It started with a simple observation: most people who need to turn a photo into a PDF, shrink an image or split a document are handing private files to an unknown server just to change a format. That felt like the wrong trade. So we built a converter that does the work where the file already is — inside your own browser.

How it works
When you select a file, the browser reads it into temporary memory on your device. Our code then uses modern web platform APIs — Canvas for images, WebAssembly and pdf-lib for documents, and native compression APIs for archives — to produce the converted output right there. The result is offered to you as a download, and closing or refreshing the tab clears everything. No copy is ever transmitted, stored, cached or backed up by us.
The practical limit is your device's available memory rather than a server quota; the interface accepts files up to 100 MB, and large jobs simply take a few more seconds on older hardware. Heavier categories such as video, audio and OCR are being added progressively, and where a task genuinely cannot run locally we will say so clearly on the tool page before you start.
Who builds it
Fast File Convert is maintained by a small, globally distributed team of web engineers who work on browser performance and document tooling. We ship improvements in small increments, test each tool against real-world files, and remove anything that does not work reliably rather than leaving it on the site as a broken promise. Advertising keeps the service free, and ads are always kept away from the upload and download controls.
