Summary

Fast File Convert is a browser-based file conversion service. The tools listed on this site run entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. This means the files you convert are read into your device's memory, processed there, and handed back to you as a download.

We do not receive, copy, inspect or store the contents of your files. There is no server-side conversion queue, so there is nothing for us to delete afterwards.

File handling and deletion

When you select a file, the browser holds it in temporary memory for as long as the page is open. Closing the tab, navigating away or refreshing the page discards it immediately. Converted output is created the same way and is only saved when you click the download button, at which point it goes to your own device.

Because no upload takes place, your files are never written to our servers, never backed up and never shared with any third party.

Account data

Creating an account is optional; every tool works while signed out. If you do register, we store your email address, an optional display name and a short activity record for each conversion you run: the tool name, the number of files and their total size. File contents are never part of that record.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated records at any time by emailing us.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact page are delivered to our support inbox through a third-party form service so we can reply. We use the name, email address and message you provide only to answer your enquiry, and we do not add you to a marketing list.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage for functional purposes only: remembering your interface preferences and, if you are signed in, keeping your session active. These are required for the site to behave correctly and are not used to profile you.

Third-party services described below may set their own cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies from their settings; the conversion tools continue to work if you do.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site is free to use and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at https://www.aboutads.info/choices.

Third-party ad networks may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you view on this site. They never receive the files you convert, because those files are never transmitted anywhere.

Analytics

We may use aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are used and to find broken pages. Analytics data is measured at the page level and is not linked to the contents of any file.

Legal basis and your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Because we hold very little data, most requests can be answered quickly.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date shown at the top of this page.
