Why use Excel to PDF?

PDF is the format people reach for when a document has to look identical everywhere — on a phone, on a colleague's laptop and on paper. Converting to or from PDF lets you keep that fixed layout for sharing and archiving while still being able to edit, split, merge or shrink the file when the job changes. Doing it in the browser means a contract, payslip or ID scan never has to be uploaded to a stranger's server just to change its format.

Your privacy

This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. The file you select is read into your device's memory, converted there and offered back as a download — it is never uploaded to our servers. Closing or reloading the page clears it. If you are signed in, we store only the tool name, the number of files and their total size so you can see your own activity history; the file contents are never sent.

Tips for the best result

  • Check the page order in the file list before converting — pages are produced in the order shown.
  • Scanned pages photographed at an angle convert better if you crop them first; the tool preserves what it is given.
  • For very large PDFs, close other heavy browser tabs so the page has more memory to work with.
  • Open the finished PDF before sending it, especially for documents that have to print exactly.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support .xls or .csv?

No. Only the modern .xlsx format is supported. Open older files in a spreadsheet app and save them as .xlsx first.

Will charts and conditional formatting appear?

Cell data converts reliably; charts, pivot tables and rich formatting may not be reproduced, so review the PDF first.

How are multiple sheets handled?

Sheet content is rendered into the document in order. Very wide sheets may wrap differently than in Excel.

Is my workbook uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript and WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device and nothing is uploaded to our servers.
