Extract ZIP
Extract ZIP unpacks an archive and lists its contents so you can download individual files, without installing an archiving utility. It is particularly handy on devices with no built-in ZIP support.

Why use Extract ZIP?
Small utility jobs — packaging files into an archive, generating a QR code, encoding data — usually send you to an unfamiliar website that wants an upload. Running them here keeps the task in your browser, takes a couple of seconds and leaves no copy behind.
How to use Extract ZIP
- 1Upload the .zip archive.
- 2Press Convert now.
- 3Browse the extracted files in the results list.
- 4Download the files you need, or all of them.
Features
- Extracts standard ZIP archives locally.
- Download files individually rather than all at once.
- No archive utility installation needed.
Supported formats
- Input
- ZIP
- Output
- The original files contained in the archive
Your privacy
This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. The file you select is read into your device's memory, converted there and offered back as a download — it is never uploaded to our servers. Closing or reloading the page clears it. If you are signed in, we store only the tool name, the number of files and their total size so you can see your own activity history; the file contents are never sent.
Tips for the best result
- Give downloaded files a descriptive name so you can find them later.
- Test generated QR codes with a real phone camera before printing them.
- For archives, group related files first — the structure you select is the structure you get.
Frequently asked questions
Are RAR and 7Z supported?
No. Only ZIP archives can be opened at the moment.
Can I open a password-protected ZIP?
No, encrypted archives are not supported.
What about very large archives?
The interface accepts files up to 100 MB. In practice the ceiling is your device's available memory, so very large files may be slower on older phones.
Is the archive uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript and WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device and nothing is uploaded to our servers.
